Accessibility at Amerron Acres

Amerron Acres is located at a small barn in the middle of some fields in the Peak District so accessibility isn’t ideal. We strongly advise you to contact us before making a booking if you have any mobility issues and we will try and accommodate if possible.

Access to the site by car is along a long stony track, we usually request people park at the farm carpark and take a 2 minute walk across a field. However most vehicles can get closer to the site along a stone track if this is required, and can be discussed prior to any bookings being made. If parking on site then access to the horses and our sessions are all on flat ground, outside, in a hardcore area or on grass. Please be advised that during winter months the site can get quite muddy.

Amerron Acres is just a 5 minute walk from Edale train station. We’re located between Sheffield and Manchester with good train links to both cities along the Hope Valley line. There are no busses to Edale village at present.

We do have an accessible toilet, however this is a small chemical camping toilet so unfortunately it isn’t accessible to everyone. The toilet building is accessible by ramp and is spacious enough if using mobility aids.

We do accept assistance dogs but please inform beforehand if bringing a dog due to choosing which horses are involved in the session. Please be advised that pet dogs can not be allowed on site.
