Meet Jessica Snape-Burns
Founder of Amerron Acres | Registered LEAP Practitioner
Jessica Snape-Burns is the heart behind Amerron Acres—a space created from her deep belief in the healing power of nature, presence, and connection. As a registered Practitioner with LEAP Equine, Jessica brings together professional training, intuitive wisdom, and a lifelong love of horses to support others on their journey of self-discovery and emotional wellness.
“My daughter really loves coming to see the horses and spending time with them is the highlight of her week. She is not so keen on the emotional chat, but Jess has been incredibly insightful and pitched everything at the right level to maintain engagement.” Parent feedback
A Practitioner with Lived Experience
“My journey with Amerron Acres is rooted in lived experience — in learning to listen to my body, to trust its intelligence, and to move through challenge with presence, compassion, and curiosity. Growing up with ADHD and navigating the world as a neurodiverse individual taught me early on the importance of self-awareness, resilience, and finding ways to honor my own needs while connecting with others. These experiences have shaped not only how I show up in life but also how I guide others in theirs.
Several years ago, I faced a period of chronic illness that left me bedbound with a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. It was a time that tested me mentally, emotionally, and physically. Through deep self-awareness, meditation, mind-body practices, and relentless self-advocacy, I was able to navigate diagnosis, treatment, and ultimately healing. My family and the horses I worked with were constant companions on this path.
That journey, along with my experiences as a parent of three children, has profoundly shaped how I now hold space for others. At Amerron Acres, I integrate trauma informed somatic awareness, self-compassion, relational intelligence, and neurodiverse perspectives into equine-facilitated learning. I know first-hand how the body can guide us toward insight and transformation, how our unique wiring can be a source of strength, and how presence — our own and that of another living being — can be profoundly grounding.
I’ve drawn on those insights in designing space where humans can connect with themselves, each other, and the horses in a safe, explorative, and supportive environment.
My work is an invitation: to listen to your body, to move with intention, and to discover your own intelligence, resilience, and relational capacity in the living field — with horses as co-guides and witnesses on the journey.”
